A Message from Elaine -
“I would like to say a big Thank You to everyone who has donated items to sell and made lovely craft items to raise money to help the Kitties.
This year we have booked more fundraising dates which include craft fairs so we need more hand made items to sell. We will pay costs for materials if needed.
If anyone can help please contact me on 01469 569563 for further details or if you would like us to collect the items.
Once again a very big Thank You for your help and support.”
The Rescue successfully homed 69 cats and kittens in 2009. This was signicantly more than 2008. In addition about 6 lost cats were reunited with their owners. Well done to all concerned.
Everyone at Second Chance Cat Rescue wishes all our volunteers, friends and supporters the very best for the festive season. We look forward to your continued interest and support in 2010.
This is a picture of the 4th missing Keelby cat - see item below. This was one of four that recently went missing from the Woodlands Ave, Raithby Ave and Cotham Gdns area of Keelby. She is a tabby and white female age 5 years. It is thought that these cats could have been dumped in the Immingham area. Anyone with any information please contact the helpline number above.
Recently Chloe Spink & Emily Montgomery together with their mums Tracey, Helen and Great-uncle, Brian Green, walked 10 miles from Keelby to Immingham Civic Centre and return to raise funds for local animal charities.
The total raised was £120 divided between Second Chance Cat Rescue & Blue Cross. Many thanks to all concerned for this marvellous effort on our behalf.

David Marklew from Second Chance Cat Rescue was recently presented with a cheque for the Rescue to the value of £300, from Janet De Ponte on behalf of PALS Fundraisers and Cleethorpes Collectables. This was part of the proceeds from a recent sale. Many thanks to all concerned for this wonderful contribution which is most appreciated.
From around the 24th Oct to the 30th Oct 4 cats have gone missing from the Woodlands Ave, Raithby Ave and Cotham Gdns area of Keelby. The cats are a black and white male age 6 months, a tabby female age 9 years, a tabby and white female age 5 years plus and a ginger and white long haired male. See the photos that accompany this item. In the meantime will all cat owners in Keelby take special care of their kitties and also keep a look out for the missing cats. Note any suspicious activity and if any of these cats are spotted please contact the helpline number above.
Calling all cat owners. Please remember that when you change address or alter your details to update your cats microchip record. We have two cats at the Rescue at the moment who are both chipped but we cannot trace their owners because the contact details are out of date.
